Well, BT have found another excuse not to get on with it now. They cancelled the appointment today without bothering to let us know, as my previous provider has not given them the number or something, so they can't do any work anyway.

Seriously thinking of going back to Virgin but I'm not sure if I can.

Scaffolders came, looked at scaffolding, rang their boss, moved a few things around and left...with the scaffolding STILL IN MY GARDEN!

Unfortunately I am not home in the day so I am not here when they come; I asked my OH if he spoke to them/got their contact details and he said no.

BT will be here in the morning so let's see what they say before I kick off with the housing association!

It's probably not an issue of them being in your garden, just if they are far enough away to satisfy BT. What you really need/needed was the info from BT as to what their exact req was.;), obviously if you now have another excuse it must have been ok after the alterations, and remember the scaffolders cannot leave the scaffold in an unsafe and uncertified condition.
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

That was the purpose of getting another engineer to come, however, he hasn't been to look at it so I don't know if is going to be satisfactory for them or not even when the issue of the line is resolved.

I'm getting really fed up now though.

Sorry, when you said "moved a few things around in my garden", I assumed they moved the support poles.

Sounds like you are waiting for them on 2 counts now:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:, I'd be too

Scaffolding has gone! Now just have to get BT to actually do something, the latest is that they have cancelled my order as they are unable to fulfill it in time (for what?). It will be re-raised on Tuesday.

So another weekend with no broadband.

We had loads of issues with bt when we moved, worst experience of a service provider, many many calls to bt (none uk call centre) eventually we must have become a problem as our calls always seemed to stay uk, still didnt get it sorted. Eventually posted on social media and bt reacted then (still had the excuses but they just kept sending engineers until fixed bt / openreach / sub contractors and eventually a supervisor who got it sorted)
