change Eon tariff boob!

My present tariff with Eon ends on 29th June and I changed online to go on E.ON Energy Fixed 1 year v6 from 30th June.


I've just discovered that I can save £68 a year if I go on a Scottish Power fixed tariff, I had an error in my spreadsheet that only gave a savings of £12 so didn't consider it worthwhile changing supplier.

Will I have to pay the cancel fee if I change supplier before the new Eon tariff takes effect?

I think I can help you with this.

It will depend on the date when your account switches, it normally takes about 4-6 weeks to change supplier, so you'd probably be on the new tariff by then so the fee would apply.

But, you can change tariff with us and we won't charge it, so you may want to have another look and think about moving on to the standard tariff where there aren't any ties in's or cancellation fees if you see what I mean.
