Is this electrical installation correct

I am having 2 new double sockets fitted in my lounge. They are on the same wall about 6 feet apart. The electrician has run 2 cables down the wall above one socket and then run them horizontally to the other. All the cables have been chopped in the brick wall behind capping and made good. Are the cables allowed to be run horizontal chopped in the wall.

Yes, they can be vertical or horizontal. What they must never be is diagonal.No free lunch, and no free laptop
