Part P question

One for the domestic sparkies.

I have just wired in new lighting and sockets to a new extension we've had built.

I am a qualified sparky but not to Part P as it would be of no use to me as I work in the commercial sector, as I understand it if I were to wire back to the mains I would have to get part p and a new installation cert issued for Building Regs.

However what I am intending to do is extend the existing circuits and incorporate the extension into the circuits accordingly, the house is already fully RCD protected on lighting and power via a dual RCD board as we are TT supplied, so rather than a full test and inspection being done on the new wiring would a Minor Works cert for each be acceptable for BR sign off ?
