Cancelling credit card/ impact on credit rating

Options
Hello,
Sorry if I am posting in a wrong category.

8 months ago I received my first Aqua credit card with 50% APR and 250£ limit. The limit was gradually increased to 1800£. Few months ago I applied for Sainsburys and Halifax credit cards and I was approved (Sainsburys 1000 16% APR and Halifax 1500 20% APR). Since getting my new credit cards I stopped using Aqua. I repay outstanding balances in full each month. Therefore I would be inclined to close my Aqua CC. But I am planning to apply for a loan in 4 - 6 months (4000 - 5000£). Would the closure make a negative impact on my credit rating?

Thank you

Different lenders have differing criteria so its very difficult to say.

But on balance I would think closing it is probably unlikely to have a significant negative on your chance of acceptance for new credit.
