How so? I thought this secretive database is only concerned with mortgage applications. CC companies don't, as far as I know, report to it.

Pick whether you consider yourself, on the basis of your marriage, to be a homeowner or not. Then use that answer consistently across all applications thereafter.

You then run into the other possible issues of ending up on CIFAS etc if you say you own a property and then they establish that you don't.0
