Replace the 'u' bend with one of these.
Install one of these in the copper pipe to the far right hand side.
And one of these to cut the copper pipe with.
That's the bare minimum - you'll need a couple of adjustable spanners too.
Alternatively a plumber/handyman/kitchen fitter would charge anything between £40 and £100.
