GAP insurance reclaim

I've read much about CPP and PPI reclaiming but has anyone attempted a reclaim on GAP insurance? Specifically on a car purchase?
I had it on a new car I brought ten years ago and wondering if I could attempt a reclaim under miss selling. I was young, naive and scared and talked into it at the time. I still have all the paperwork I ever got from the purchase of the car but I brought it way back in September 2004.
Just wondering if anyone has any information or success with this?

Just because you were young, niave, scared and talked into it, isn't a reason for miss selling.


Presumably you were an adult when you signed for it. And the insurance would have paid out if need be.

I was an adult yes, but what makes this different from claiming CPP/PPI? "Talked into it" is a legitimate reason on this website for making a case.
I do fear I won't have a case, just interested in peoples thoughts or experiences.

Was it the car dealer who "talked you into it"?

Yes it was the car salesperson.

Salesperson wont have been regulated 10 yrs ago, and can just dismiss your complaint.
