Investing in SAS ISA ?

My mum has had a SAS ISA with the HBOS since 2003 which pays her a quarterly payment which she has been fairly pleased with. However on reviewing the investment there has been a dramatic drop in her initial investment (understanding of course that shares go down as well as up) however as I don't understand these types of investments I am not sure if she best to move her investment? She has considered keeping a SAS ISA however moving it to a different platform ..... any advice would be appreciated to keep it where it is or move it - thanks

What exactly is she invested in? A S&S isa could contain almost any one of thousands of investments. It seems odd to have lost money as since 2003 the uk market has almost doubled. Are you sure about the numbers?
