Shower in proprety has no hose and head, simple to replace?

I know you can get them as cheap as a quid in pound shops but wondered if it was as simple as screw old one in, may sound silly but its more that I do not know if something needs to be on the base of the unit so the part can screw in or it just screws in normally.

The Shower does work as pressed the on button and hot water came out of the hole at bottom as normal.

Yes easy to fit but buy one that is half way decent.

Its just a temporary fix as I may ask LL to repair it but not sure as its rented as a unfurnished flat i.e the inventory just says "cooker and hob" "lightbulbs"(despite having only lightbulbs in bathroom kitchen and hall none in living room and bedrooms)

Most showers have a standard threaded connector at the bottom. The new hose just screws on to that.
    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.

I watched that video - not because I need instructions on how to do the job, but because of your comments about the presenter. Have to say I agree whole heartedly !!

Nicely edited tho - she forgot to put the hose back tru the retaining loop.. and suddenly it was miraculously back thru!

    It's the small things...

Do consider that the hose may have been removed if the shower is not safe to use - ok ideally it should have been isolated electrically - but do check with the LL about it.. you wouldn't want it to pop whilst you're under the shower..
