oh BTW when I spoke to my HR today she said said she would be like a 3rd party tomorrow.
The email was received today and the meeting is tomorrow.
So I have hardly any time to prepare as such...

Would my situation constitute to gross miss conduct?
If so, does that mean dismissed without notice and no pay?

Looks like you guys were right, its gross misconduct and therefore most like lead to a dismissal...

You seem to be posting as though you are the OP, but with a different username...

Sounds to me like the customer is paying for 37.5 hrs a week of on-site IT support and they are not getting this. What hours are you booking?

If they were paying for a particular piece of work to be done (e,g, a report written, or a system installed, or some testing done) then they might not be so worried about the hours you spent in the office.

I know in my area of work if we book hours to a customer that are not actually worked it can be counted as fraud.
loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.

I think you should maintain the line that you had been told that you had to ensure the job was done, and that you believed your total working hours each week should be 37.5 - and that you delivered these hours, by being on site for 6.5 hours each day and giving more than an hour's work remotely, plus being responsive at any time the client wanted you. It's not a great explanation of why you felt you could leave at 3.30 every day but it's the best you've got.

You should also be aware, before attending the disciplinary, that working 9-3.30 without a lunch break is not an acceptable 6.5 hours. Anything over 6 hours - you HAVE to take at least a 20 min break, which does not have to be paid. 9-3.30 is therefore only 6 hours 10 mins at best.

    Good luck for tomorrow!

The op came under a different username and said that they are treating it as gross misconduct.

They then deleted the tweet to protect themselves
