Tesco scan and shop - loose vegetables and fruit

Just wanted to put a warning out there, if you're buying loose fruit and veg via the hand scanner thing where you print a label, print one out for one item if it's on offer.
For example 4 lemons for £1, if you just tell the label weigh thing it's 4 lemons it will charge £1.20; conversely if you say 1 lemon and then scan it four times you'll get the offer price.

Thanks.
That could save a few minutes of head scratching the first time I want to do that. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -

Loose items such as lemons, garlic, pepper, anything that is sold by unit not weight, have a barcode next to them on the shelf, you just scan the barcode for each item you pick up, no need to go to the scales and print a label.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
Not at my tesco peachy price, both our local smaller Tesco and larger Extra store have had these machines installed in last year.
I mean the scales with printer.

I know what scales you mean. They should have the barcodes, next time ask them where they are.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -

Sometimes I can be so stupid!
For the first time since the system was installed I wanted to buy some single item from the bakery section and assumed I'd need to get a assistant to enter the details at the checkout - it never occurred to me to scan the barcode on the shelf.
