Those mag comps where you pick three random numbers? Worth it?

They annoy me like mad :) seriously does anyone match the three numbers? His does it even work?

Don't do them and I think you'll find most people leave them well alone. There must be better ways to waste your time :)

Very, very rarely do I see an instant win mag winner on the IWIWIW board... There are a lot more who win from the normal mag dailies though...

Chances of winning are really minuscule on the instants, so I just don't bother with them.

The most recent thread about them

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4967101
They ran one a while ago for a Mini and the odds were over 45 million to one and a £1,000 cash prize had odds of over 3.2 million to one so the chances of winning are minute.
With most other instant win or draws the prizes are won but if no one matches the combination on these by the close date no prize is awarded.
This enables them to offer more prizes within their budget than they could otherwise do knowing that only a small number of them will be won (they may have prize indemnity insurance to cover themselves so they can operate with fixed costs anyway).

Thats what I thought. What happens if you get the right combination with two weeks left to the closing date? It just wouldn't happen. It's just annoying when you click on to a competion without realising thats what it's going to be. It is time consuming. I still do the daily mags though as I've won on them before.

If you match you win, either the competition then ends or another prize is made available, I don't think there is any suggestion that the prizes are not there to be won just that the chances of winning are very small.
There used to be another site, may still be, that just had 100's of these competitions and while many of them were small prizes they did list the winners.

When I do the daily mag comps, I do all the prize draw ones I'm interested in first, and then use up my remaining allowance on the instant wins. I've won a couple of things on the prize draws, but I don't know anyone who's had an 'instant' win.
