Bank Charges over £5000

Hi, only just joined this and I need a bit of help.
I am filling in the online HMCS claim form. I am claiming £4484 off Nationwide Building Society but with interest this goes up to £5629.52. Although on MSE it says that the £5000 limit for the small claims court doesnt include interest if I put in the £5629.52 the court charge goes up to £250. Does this mean that it would be too much for the small claims court and should I just claim the £4484? Any help would be very much appreciated.

No it just means you have to pay £250 instead of £120. Your main claim is still under £5,000, and it's up to the judge to award the interest or not.Reclaimed thanks to this site:
