Nationwide May: + 0.7% MoM + 11.1% YoY

Values increased 0.7% to £186,512 in May.

That’s just above the previous peak of £186,044 reached in October 2007.

First part of recovery complete. Still around 20% below in real terms though, so once that's back as well, we can say the market has recovered.

Then it'll be time for the next boom.;)

    And why is this good news? Homeowners assets are now priced slightly higher, which they get no benefit from, and prospective homeowners now have to spend more money on a house, so less on other things. Yes that is great for an economy...
