Values increased 0.7% to £186,512 in May.
That’s just above the previous peak of £186,044 reached in October 2007.

First part of recovery complete. Still around 20% below in real terms though, so once that's back as well, we can say the market has recovered.

And why is this good news? Homeowners assets are now priced slightly higher, which they get no benefit from, and prospective homeowners now have to spend more money on a house, so less on other things. Yes that is great for an economy...Faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.0
