Rebuilding credit help

Options
Having had 3 defaults on my credit file, 1 regarding a historic student overdraft and 2 relating to a voluntary surrender of a NRAM together mortgage. These are all showing as settled and I would like to rebuild my credit file.

I have had a credit card with Vanquis for 3 years which is paid in full every month. Also have a overdraft which is not used and the usual home insurance and mobile phone contracts showing.

Is there any other steps I can take to help myself now, any other accounts I can open or do I just need to patiently wait on time passing?

Any advice would be appreciated here. Desperate to make a better future!

Sounds like you are doing all that you reasonably can at the moment.

How long until the defaults drop off your file?

    Hi Tixy,

The student overdraft one drops off next year. The NRAM one had first default date/late payment in Jan 2013 so am I correct in assuming it will be Jan 2019? Seems like such a long time away in the future.
