Car Insurance Quotes?!

I bought a new car recently and did some research into the insurance costs for me on the vehicle.
In March I was getting quotes at around £300.
In April these went up to £375ish and now, when my insurance is due for renewal, the cheapest I am getting is £560?!
How comes it's jumped by nearly £300 when I haven't changed anything? No new claims and no convictions.

That's interesting to know, literally haven't changed a thing other than purchase the car and have the number plate to hand.I have a simple philosophy:

Try a generic quote on the car type, not with the reg, made up name etc, at a close address, from a comparison site, and see what comes back.0
