CP Plus - weird bully boy tactics

In February I visited Cherwell Valley MOTO, but when I returned to my car it refused to start. RAC came and replaced the battery but I had to wait a couple of hours. Since then I have had a series of letters from CP Plus, then Debt Recovery Plus. Today I answered my phone (private ex-directory number) to 'Peter' who in heavily-accented English muttered something about (I think) 'GSA Car Parks' and said he wanted to talk about a number plate recognition photograph. I put the phone down without speaking and dialled 1471. The number turned out to be an auto spares company in Harlesden. Obviously I'd like to know how they got my number and why they are calling me. Has anyone else had experience of this?

Might be unrelated. What was the name of the car spares company?Je suis Charlie.0

Sarita Auto Centre, Harlesden NW10 8SE. How can it be unrelated? I called them back on the number I got from 1471. I figured that either CP Plus or Debt Recovery Plus were putting these cases out to yet another agency to jump on the threats bandwagon.
I've ignored all the letters.0 -
I think you are some what confused
with this lot you wouldnt havent been called by anyone else.Proud to be a member of the Anti Enforcement Hobbyist Gang.:D:T0 -
I can't see what else it could relate to, as I have no other outstanding 'parking infringements' to my name. But no matter. I'll ignore them too. I'm just intrigued to see how far CP Plus will go in their efforts to intimidate me.0

I don't believe for a moment that CP Plus or DRP got some obscure north London car parts supplier to 'phone you. Why on earth would they? They have plenty of trained and experienced bully boys of their own.
If you really want to know what it's about then call Sarita Auto Centre and ask them. They've probably received something in the post which leaves them as puzzled as you are.Je suis Charlie.0 -
No idea why you would ignore a CP Plus 'PCN' these days - that advice was from 2012 or older and we haven't told people to do that on this forum at all for over a year. Why not (next time, just read the sticky thread). Should have appealed & won at POPLA like we always do - to knock such fake PCNs on the head and to costs the scumbags money. In February I visited Cherwell Valley MOTO, but when I returned to my car it refused to start. The phone call could be an unconnected scam? I would call them and grill them about why the heck they bothered you.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Was it an actual RAC van that came to help you or was it a third party breakdown company.
When they replaced your battery no doubt you would have given your details for the guarantee etc.
If above is correct just wonder whether the breakdown service company are being done by the PPC I,e. number plate recognition photograph relates to them not you, and just wanted you to witness that they were repairing your car and not shopping etc.0
