Potential Redundancy - Query

lisa701
Our boss has recently resigned. Its highly likely they will not replace him and instead the department we work for will be taken over by a sister company (its already happened with another team). That sister company is not local and has its own admin staff, so we would no longer be required.
Our query is if our current posts as sales administrators no longer exist, but they offer to transfer us to another department - different job, different title - can we refuse and therefore be entitled to redundancy pay for the jobs which have been "made redundant"?
None of us want to work for this other department, its got a very high turnover of staff, basically its not a nice place to work. We would rather be made redundant and come away with a couple of quid to keep us going until we may find something else.
Thanks

depends look up suitable alternative employment
if there are enough thing to make it not suitable then a redundancy payment should be due.
