I have just had green flag renewal thru for car it is £97. I am sure there must be a cheaper one that offers much the same. Car is Peugeot 208 59 plate. Any suggestions? Cover at the moment is comprehensive plus with home call

Why on earth would you want to anyone to supply you with breakdowns...?

They are annoying enough when they happen by chance!

I am with RBS, and as part of their Royalties gold account you get breakdown cover through green flag. I also get phone insurance and travel insurance for £12 a month, so well worth it. Ive used them twice and they have been great - plus you dont have to pay first and claim it back like others.

I found Green flag the cheapest.

Has a decent amount of Cashback, however as they rarely ever pay this out (see the TCB feedback) don't bank on this.

I've been waiting a year and still not got mine.

Not used them, thankfully, so can't comment on service.
  • Nationwide flexplus account includes car breakdown, phone ins, extended warranties, worldwide travel insurance and you receive interest - all for £10/month.
Have had to use the breakdown already, and the interest basically reduces the cost you've paid for the account.
    Very happy with it.

What level of cover do you have through your bank account? Will they take you home? or to a local garage. And is onward travel included?
