Offer from Halifax

So since May I've been arguing with halifax over my charges, they sent me a letter stating that they weren't giving me anything back. I then sent another letter in return to threaten court action blah blah blah. This was in May and after hearing nothing called them last week to complain and the nice advisor said that he would escalate it as it was way over the accepted timescale for complaints.

Anyways I received a letter today saying they weren't accepting blame but they were willing to offer me a goodwill gesture of £470. What's your advice on this would you accept this amount, the charges and interest came to a total of £1200. The way I see it is I could have gotten nothing back at all.
£940 from Halifax :j

Remember you cannot hold out for interest until you reach the court stage.

Personally I would go for the full amount, but it's up to your personal circumstances to dictate whether this is an acceptable refund.

If you do take a partial refund, and sign to confirm this is 'full and final' in respect of these charges, you cannot reclaim the remainder at a further date.
