Advice Required - What to do with my bank account???

Hi All,
I would be very grateful if anyone can help with the following.....
I am half way through claiming my bank charges and since April I have been recieving charges for going over my limit (which I wouldnt do if they didnt give me these charges in the first place). Im going round in circles and want this to stop!
I have opened another bank account and transfered all my bills, direct debits and wages so no longer need the Lloyds account. My problem is this: I have a £350 over draft and £150 worth of charges on this account. What can I do to stop any more charges next month? Do I freeze the account, put it into dispute, what do I do? Im not sure what to do next, but I do know that Lloyds want to put £300 of charges on for August and I would like to do something before this happens.
Please, please, please can someone help????
Regards
Fiona

You wont be able to stop them putting more charges on the account but you can keep adding them to the total that you reclaim. The account is already in dispute as you have already started the reclaiming process.
You can alter the amount you are reclaiming right up to filing claim at court. Good luck

I am at the stage of taking them to court at present. (Just saving for the court costs). Is it worth waiting until I have had Augusts charges then before I file the claim?
Does the account not get frozen when it goes into dispute?
Would it be worth paying back this months £150 charges or just leave the account now?
Many Thanks for your help!0 -
Personally I would wait and include proof of all charges right up to the date of claim so that would mean waiting on your next bank statement. Alternatively a mini-statement obtained from the ATM. The account doesnt get frozen no any refund or stopping of charges is at the banks discretion and they are clearly enjoying applying charges and arent likely to stop. Its frankly intimidatory and ultimately doesnt mean anything as you can reclaim the charges. On that basis I would not pay them.

Sounds good enough to me! That is what I was thinking, but it always helps to have another person confirm it! Thank you ever so much!0
