MetLife Alico experience/ recommendation

Hi there,
We are currently expats in the Middle East and looking for whole of life life insurance. We are being proposed MetLife Alico Wealth Plus.
Only being in our mid 30s we are hoping we will not need to use this insurance until we are settled in the UK, in a long time hopefully!
I'm just looking for any experience of Alico and how is their uk operation? Are they a recommended company in the uk?
