Natwest PPI

Hi

Back in March Natwest wrote to me inviting me to claim back the PPI I had on 5 loans spread over approx 6 years, the last one ending in 2008. These were seperate short term loans

The letter stated that I had three years to respond, but once they received the information I would be eligible for a a decision within 8 weeks.

So I filled out the form which I believed was the basis for a complaint. 3 weeks later I get a letter from RBS asking me to fill out a completely different form (with no SAE enclosed) for them to come to a decision. after another 8 weeks.

To me this is inapporiate, sounds like a delaying tactic , has anyone else had to deal with this kind of nonsense with Natwest?

Thank you for looking

Not at all, it's an invitation to complain if you have valid complaint reasons. The letter itself is sent to every customer who had PPI and is not admission of liability. The letter's purpose is to draw a line and establish a time-bar on possible future complaints.

The bank has nothing to gain by employing "delaying tactics". Just do as they request and fill out the form. If you make a robust complaint, the likelihood is that it will be upheld.
