cavity wall and loft insulation quiery

Hello :)

We have the Mark Group coming in this week to do the cavity wall and loft insulation........the on going process has been very trying however we were advised some pointing work would need to be done prior to this being done (all covered under government scheme).

I rang the Mark Group and have been advised the pointing up will be done on the day of the insulation - i know its a boring question but is this right??

The pointing up is being done (as advised) so no damp will occur - something just doesn't seem right :o

Any advise if this process is correct - meaning pointing up done on the same day.

Thank you in advance

The pointing needs to be done to stop water penetration of the outer brick work. As we don't get driving rain for days on end in June I would be happy for the pointing to be done any time before during or after, and after is best as they drill holes in the pointing. Hope you are having poly bead installed not fibre.

    Many thanks for your reply.

Work to take place tomorrow and I believe it is poly bead - will ask if they are coming back to drill holes!!!
