I've recently done a balance transfer from virgin. paying it has been so easy and allowed me to pay form my lloyds account.
now that I've managed to get onto the online banking for halifax, it seems i can't make a payment unless i open halifax bank account and switch to it from my lloyds account!
is that right?? i really don't want to switch. i simply want to make a payment from my bank account I've had since i was 16.
please tell me theres an easy way to do it as i don't want to have to phone them every week or every month to make a payment.
Hi bobster999,
As other posters have mentioned, you'll be able to pay your Halifax credit card from your current account held with us. If you've not yet set up the payment, you can find info on how to do it through our demo. Just click 'Making payments online' and 'Paying bills and Credit Cards'.
If you've any questions, please do let me know.

They will be on your statements.
Or you could just read this thread properly, and follow the advice in post #3 which has a link to those details.Or take a look at the Halifax web site.

In cash/cheque in Halifax / BOS branch or a payment to
Sort Code :77-29-00 Account: 00000000
with your 16 digit card number as a reference without spaces:

I don't get statements and I can't see it on my online banking. But thanks for trying. In cash/cheque in Halifax / BOS branch or a payment to

Thank you so much, this is exactly what I was looking for!0 -
One potential annoyance, is when banks use the same sort code and account number (I'm guessing cause it's the same group), it can be annoying.
I wanted to pay towards my Bank Of Scotland card from my Natwest account.
But because I had a payment set up to Lloyds, which uses the same sort code and Account number, it wouldn't allow me to set up a separate payee, even though I was going to use a different ref i.e. the 16 digit card number.
It just said, a payee with these details already exists.
As far as I could see, I would have to amend the payee and enter the new ref number each time I wanted to pay one or the other.
In the end for me, it wasn't too much of a problem, because I don't use the Lloyds card anymore, so just adjusted the ref number to my BOS card.0 -
You should be able to view your statements online. They contain details of how to pay.Evolution, not revolution0
