New conifer
Hi,
I recently bought a small conifer as my kitten has died and I thought it would be nice for her to be buried beneath it.
It is planted in a small (30cm W) pot with an ivy plant.
I have never had a plant/tree before so does anyone have any advice on how to care for the new conifer?
Thanks

I hope ive thread your post correctly, but you best to dig a hole twice the size of the pot that it comes in , add some some compost to the hole, ( dont bury the cat in the hole ).......Put tree into hole and water it 2 three times a week for at least the first year of planting, and bury the cat beside it.......0

No reason not to bury the cat (sorry for you) under the tree. Bury the cat a couple of feet deep, much deeper if possible, cover with soil, put a few rubbley stones over cat (helps drainage, keeps body protected from foxes etc.) Plant conifer on top, ensuring root ball of conifer has been loosened (otherwise it'll be root-bound and slow to grow). If the garden soil is heavy clay, add some compost to the hole. Water well after planting, and keep watering for the rest of this summer.
Sorry to be base. You'll end up with cat a couple of feet deep at the shallowest, a few stones, about a foot of soil, then a hole twice the size of the pot the conifer was in.
I have buried many a pet this way. In general, deeper is better, safer from being discovered.0
