Yup that's the one! Phew was getting nervous there! Right well it's all a lot clearer in my head now and I'm really grateful for the replies. Now I can finally get that bloody thing cleared hopefully. One final question, how do you go about paying it off then? Do you set up a direct debit from my account at the moment to take out 2% of what I owe each month?
Sorry for all the questions

You can pay the bill however you like. However, most people advise to set a direct debit up to pay the minimum balance each month to ensure you do not get hit with any fees and lose the 0% offer. N.B. The DD will probably not work for the first month so you will have to use another means.Yup that's the one! Phew was getting nervous there! You can make payments over the minimum balance (and the final payment) by debit card on the Halifax online banking, by bill payment from your current account, by cheque (either by post or in branch) or by cash in branch.0 -
Thanks King, from what seemed a very scary idea this morning, it doesnt seem to bad now. I'm just glad someone knows what they're talking about. I have never been good with the way finances work, wouldn't even have an overdraft before uni. Ah well, just the old uni loan to pay off after the overdraft. Roll on getting my credit card then!0
