Chessington rainy day guarantee

Ok so we visited chessington last week, we went for two days and stayed in the Hilton down the road, all booked through their website.
Very nice btw, somehow had an executive suite too, no complaints on that side, despite breaking down on the way too.:o
It rained and rained! So much so the rainy day guarantee qualified for both days which means that I get a free return visit,
Now on the t and c's it says that two day tickets only get one days free return, which is fair enough if it only rained on one day but it rained on both, unusual and unfortunate, does anyone know whether I'd get two days free or just the one? Bit unfair if it's just one as both qualify, anyone know?
I've emailed customer services but they say 5-10 reply time and I can't get through to a human on their telephone number.

I wasn't aware of the rainy day guarantee?? The last time I visited Chessington (only been once) it was by the bucket load!! I am due to go on Wednesday and have just checked the weather forecast.......rain, rain with more rain! So what's the rainy day guarantee - just how much rain qualifies I wonder?!! oh and do you know if free tickets via the newspaper qualify?!0

If it rains for more than an hour and if you book in advance and have dated tickets the rainy day guarantee applies, if you dont pre book then it seems it doesnt.Dont wait for your boat to come in 'Swim out and meet the bloody thing'0 -
Your lucky. I went to Drayton Manor last year and it rained all day. On leaving I enquirer about the same policy to be told it hadn't rained long enough. How the full 5 hours we were there was not long enough I still don't know!?0

The dates on which it rained are on the website under plan your trip-rainy day guarantee, they have all the dates that qualify even from 2012 so if you prebooked and still have your tickets left you can still get a free day
Can't remember how I heard about it but suppose they don't shout about it too much! One advantage is you get fewer queues and 2 days for the price of one, I'm just hoping I get two days rather than just the one, might even book a hotel and obviously will spend some money in the park so it's to their advantage really:hello: Hiya, I'm single mom, avid moneysaver and freecycler, sometimes  but definatly0 -
Alton Towers in the rain was amazing. Ok so it wasn't chucking it down, but the forecast said it would be! The queues were non existent for even some of the bigger rides. I got straight on Air, Nemesis, Oblivion and almost on Thirteen! The only rides that had queues more than 10 minutes were RITA and The Smiler (and some kiddie rides)
I'd go again in the rain0 -
Thanks for that info - I'll be ready to ask the question on Wednesday now. I loved my previous day in the rain as queues were non existent and you really get to make the most of the rides. Does anyone know if Legoland has the same policy?0
