hi can anyone help can we claim ppi on a mortgage if we were repossessed even if we had paid the mortgage for 20 years it was with nationwide many thanks

Most MPPi complaints result in rejection (unlike loan and credit card PPI). So, whilst you can complain about anything you like, it helps to be aware that your complaint reasons need to be stronger with MPPI.
No banks/building societies retailed single premium MPPI. So, they have no failing there. It covers a major long term debt and is considered more important to have than loan and credit card PPI. So, with that in mind, what would your complaint reasons be?
If you left a debt on the mortgage which was either written off or reduced as part of a settlement, then on a successful complaint, the lender can use the refund of premiums against that debt.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
