How long to get rental deposit back?

Hi, I've recently (19th May) moved out of a rental property, checkout report done a few days later and report sent to landlord by letting agent. Apparently, the landlord is yet to respond to the checkout report, despite being contacted several times.
Is there a timescale in which he has to respond? I could do with the money!
Also, as a slight aside, on the checkout report a few minor damages were reported, but the 'estimated cost' to repair them is £0.00. Some of these damages were pre-existing, however obviously as the cost is 0 I'm not going to kick up a fuss. However I'm worried that if the landlord comes back and wants to charge me for these, do I need to dispute them now?

There is indeed no timescale in law, but the expectation is to be reasonable, which means that the deposit must be returned as soon as practical.
If it is not, then there are the usual remedies: deposit scheme procedure and/or court action.0 -
Have you logged on to My Deposits yo claim it back?0
