Bosch Dishwasher lower basket wheel

Hi
I have a Bosch dishwasher.
The wheels on the lower basket are missing.
I only found out yesterday when I was pulling it out and found them to be missing, could they have just snapped off and went inside somewhere in the dishwasher as I could not see any wheel anywhere in the kitchen, just wondering if some one has had that same issue and found it somewhere in the filter inside the dishwasher.
Or if anyone knows how many should be there. Model number is SMS40C12GB. They are about fiver each which I find is ridiculously expensive.
Any suggestions please.

I believe there's spare parts company, mail order, where you can get such things if they don't have to be brand name and others will fit. Forgotten name of it, google search might find it.
Friend used it to get new charcoal filters for Siemens hood - bought ordinary one size can be cut down to fit all at about a quarter of the costs of Siemens.0 -
Ours is a Creda, but the wheels on the upper basket did fall off a couple of years ago. They were found in the base, though.0

To start you off. You can also get them on Amazon and Ebay.0 -
I got wheels for my parents Zanussi dishwasher from Amazon, about £8 for a pack of 8. This might be for your dishwasher http://www.amazon.co.uk/Zanussi-Dishwasher-Large-Basket-Wheels/dp/B002BSFCZ2/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?s=appliances&ie=UTF8&qid=1401789831&sr=1-1-fkmr0&keywords=SMS40C12GB.+lower+basket+wheels
Just check your model number before buying. This is for a pack of 8.
If your element in your dishwasher is exposed in the bottom your wheels might be melted on to it, this is what happened to my parents wheels, I just pulled them off carefully.

The wheels must be in there somewhere !!
Have you taken out the large mesh filter & had a look in there ??
Might need a torch..........0 -
I can vouch for ESpares - have bought stuff from them several times over the years. And they do a price-match guarantee - if you can find the same thing cheaper elsewhere, they'll refund the difference. And they do honour this, I've done it once.
Sorry, not wanting to sound like an advert for them, I'm just a satisfied customer :-)
One to avoid at all costs is Spares2Go.co.uk - complete bunch of cowboys.0 -
I have a siemens d/w but the internal doings are the same I believe. The rack wheels are grey plastic and are push fit on to spindles on the racks themselves. They can be popped off quite easily so, as has been suggested , have a look around the machine/or perhaps kitchen. They are unlikely to get past the filter but have a look at this part (the gizmo on the left or the sump that it slots into:

If you clean your machine (!) you will have come across this part. Might find the wheel there.
cheers.0
