Are you satisfied, is it an improvement?
Anyone used Clean Green?

I've had several people supposed to come out to give me a quote but up to now no one has bothered to turn up... NOT impressed by anyones service.. if they can't keep a simple appointment for a quote I don't want them doing work for me!

But, yeah, I'm interested in having it.. might be worth checking out the utilities board though.. probably get ore response over there!

I installed mine last August and have been very pleased with them, both in the FIT payments received and the money saved on my own bills.

Go across to the Green & Ethical section and you'll learn more about solar panels than you want to know!

I had my 4kW system installed in March so haven't had a payment yet, but the thought of the free electricity generated is a thrill. My roof is east/west so I have had half on each side which should in theory generate evenly throughout the day in perfect weather conditions. I am convinced the investment I have made on my panels will earn me about 8-10% over 25 years. I think anything we can do to take the pressure off fossil fuels is a good thing and it also teaches you to think carefully about how to plan your power use. I would have a small wind generator too if I could get planning permission for it. Once an affordable compact method of storing surplus energy is invented, that is when solar will really take off.

I had Solar Panels fitted in December 2013 and am over the moon with them.

I had a number of companies who came out to give me quotes and I ended up shortlisting the two companies who rung the bell and said it wasn't worth doing due to the shape of my roof. How honest.

I however got them to quote and they were able to get 10 panels on my roof so I just upgraded on the type from 250 to 327w and also upgraded the inverters to ensure when one panel went into the shade I didn't stop producing on the others.

Nuts and bolts I have generated over 1500kw of Electric, reduced my outgoings down by over half.

I would strongly recommend both Companies that I used and have done so to neighbours and friends who don't live in my immediate area. Feedback from them is they are just as happy as me.:D

We've had solar panels installed for just over a year and so far they have generated exactly as they should - the company we used were based in the Midlands and we were very happy with their complete service. We have also recommended them to several friends.

My electric usage has dropped from around 8500kWh a year to around 3600kWh, partly due to changing old white goods to more efficient newer ones and mostly due to the fact we produce over 5000kWh a year from our panels.
I think once you have panels installed you become a lot more aware of how and when you use energy.

As silverwhistle says, head over to the green and ethical forum, there's plenty of info on there
