I am a UK national but I live and work in Italy so I would like to keep my sterling savings in UK to earn for me. I have increasingly found it difficult to invest my savings in UK banks thanks to, probably, money laundering issues which cause the whole account opening process to be near enough impossible for me. They require residential address in UK (which is okay) but also utility bills, etc. which I don't have. Any ideas? Ideally with online opening terms and access. Fixed term would be fine. Thanks.
