Business sellers get no free listings.0

Depending on what you really want you might want to research a basic business shop. 200 free listings included for the basic fee of £19.99 per month. Obviously still FVFs to pay and you'll need your address on the listings and a compliant returns policy.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. As you mention 'profit' and say you are already selling around 100 items of clothing a month, I'd say you already secretly know that you are a business.
A private seller doesn't sell to make a 'profit' and I honestly don't believe you'd genuinely have over 100 items of unwanted clothing a month.
It sounds as if you have been trading illegally for sometime.
Not what you wanted to hear, but I say it as I see it. The lack of registration may be the least of your worries if HMRC come sniffing around.0 -
You received the clothes for free, so whatever you get after postage, fees and costs is a profit.

Just bee careful HMRC don't catch up with you.0 -

For some reason the OP has been deleted. If I'm remembering correctly, these items were inherited. They are now their property and can be used or sold as they wish. HMRC won't be interested in someone selling their own items as they have not been acquired with a view to selling on at a profit. You received the clothes for free, so whatever you get after postage, fees and costs is a profit.

Thanks for the comments. I've been asked to remove the OP by my Sister to discourage further comments simply because as martindow says the items were inherited and as this is related to a close family death there are very personal feelings involved. We both felt that the original wording of my post was a little cold and matter of fact about the sale of the items and no real consideration on my part for the deepset feelings that are impacting on how we truly feel about these items or the best way to deal with them. Despite trying to reword the OP differently we just couldn't find a way that reflected our complicated thoughts.
I'm going to open a shop and sort this out frankly and openly with HMRC and will get advice from them and other relevant parties.
Thanks for all comments - it is appreciated, the issue will be sorted. Just thought I would explain why I was asked to delete.0
