I have 3 vantage accounts, but may keep £1 in each when i transfer the money out from the 2nd July, i have never transferd that amount all at once so not sure if i should do 1 account at a time.
There could be a lot of money going out from accounts on the 2nd.
I am keeping one open as I have converted my main one to Club Lloyds. The other two vantage accounts - well I was also considering leaving £1 in each too. Not sure why...
  • How many 123 current accounts are you allowed with Santander?

I know you used to be able to have two but i think i read something a good while ago about them changing this.

The account i have is a joint one. Can i open another or is 1 now the limit?

Why not open a bank account with M&S and use one of the spare vantage accounts as the 'switch' account and earn yourself £100 in M&S vouchers. That's what I have done;)

Nice to have the voucher I suppose, but there is nothing to switch other than whatever is left (maybe the £1 ;)), no DDs no SOs, no income, to that account (a/c to a/c SOs cancelled in anticipation of shift out today or tomorrow).

I also only had £1 in my vantage account and no income, direct debits or s/o. These are not a requirement to opening the M&S account and receiving the £100 for the switch.

I have 2. Both attract the 3% interest.

  • Has the "run" on Lloyds started yet? I emptied mine just before 8am. I transferred all my balances into one Vantage account and sent a faster payment of just under £15k from it to my 123 account without any problem.

Yep, busy morning for me. Have cleared all 6 of my Vantage to various other accounts. Have left 1p in all 6 in case of future need, so just left with Club and Gold as accounts to use.
Also my FD RS matured today so have had to clear that and open up a new one :)

Exactly what I have done for me and my wife. We had 6 accounts between us with LLoyds so have left £50 in 2 accounts which will be switched to M&S for £200 in vouchers. As there weren't any DD's there was no other current account we could switch to and get a switching fee.
