Missing furniture

Can anyone help, my sister in law ordered from her catalogue 2 sofas in March they gave her a delivery date in April she took a day off work to stay in and waited when it was getting late she contacted them to find out what was going on only to be told they lost her sofa's so they re-ordered it and gave a another delivery date in May once again she took time off for this and received a call on that day to be told yet again that the sofa's have gone missing again. She wrote a letter to the catalogue company of complaint after making many phone calls asking for compensation all they offered her was 10% of the bill bearing in mind of the endless phone calls and taking time off work twice so far she told them this is not good enough and will have to take another day off for the June hoping her sofa's will turn up this time. The reason she bought it through the catalogue was it was easier to pay for than cash up front the family has had no furniture to sit on since April as the old was collected the day before the new was due (addmitately it was a bit premature to get rid of it but this should not reflect on the problem) where does she stand please. Thank you
