So good news i was approved this morning for a Nationwide Flexdirect which gives me 5% on all balances which is ideal! I didn't fit the criteria for the overdraft which i expected. I am now left with 2 defaults on my account and will look for a credit rebuild credit card to pay off monthly anyone know of a good one?0

Congratulations
Just remember that the 5% interest is only on balances up to £2,500. You also have to pay in £1,000 a month from an outside source (you could pay it to your wife and have her pay it back).
Vanquis and Aqua are decent, so long as you have direct debits set up for the full amount every month.Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.
ALWAYS HAVE A DIRECT DEBIT SET UP FOR THE MINIMUM PAYMENT ON YOUR CREDIT CARDS, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU PLAN TO LOGIN AND PAY EACH MONTH.0 -
I'm hoping that it should be fairly simple to get a rebuilding cc seeing as i could open a flexdirect account.0

They didn't offer you an overdraft facility, so don't get your hopes up too much.
I'd try applying for a Vanquis or Aqua card.Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.
