efergy elite classic setup?
I've setup my efergy elite classic, however I'm concerned I've either got the clip on the wrong part of the meter or have setup the device value wrong.
on average using 0.200kw and it's only costing £0.01 per hour.
My tariff is an average rate of £0.1197 - however the device only goes to 2 decimals so have put it at £0.12 per kWH.
What's wrong?!? Thanks

I wouldn't worry too much, if you turn on an electric kettle does it read correctly, i.e 2 - 3 Kwh depending on the rating plate. your cost will then show around £0.36 during the time its on.
At low currents these devices are not very accurate so 2 decimal places is fine.
You also need to factor in your daily standing charge. So multiply it by 365 to get the annual cost and divide it by your annual electricity consumption, then add the figure to your unit rate.
Regarding set up the clip should be on the live side of the feed, the red or brown wire. Ensure that the voltage is set to 240.That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
Tried with kettle and yes it goes up to 2.854kwand and 34p an hour.
I've factored in the standing charge based on first energy figure given as a comparison.
My daily average is 1.36kw. Seems very low.Just have a little faith0 -
Why don't you take daily meter readings over a few days and compare.
I typically use 5 -6 Kwh per average day. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
I mean your electricity meter not the monitor. That gum you like is coming back in style.0

If your kettle was on for an hour it would have consumed 2.8 KWh, and cosy the 36p, which works of as 12p per KWh.That gum you like is coming back in style.0
