Barrhead Travel or Travel Republic

Hi

Sorry in advance i'm sure this has been asked plenty times before...

Holiday to Tenerife, 2 adults, 1 child (2), from Aberdeen to Tenerife on 12th December 2014 for 7 nights staying at the Iberostar Torviscas Playa, Costa Adeje including 3 bags (20kg) and transfers.

Barrhead £1130
TR £1051

I've never heard of travel republic so just not sure. Can anyone offer any advice on who we should book with?

I'm going to ask BHT if they can match / better the TR price.

Google 'Travel Republic Reviews'.

Personally, we've used them quite a few times for flights and accommodation and haven't had any problems.

Are you 100% sure that the TR price includes exactly the same things as the other company?

Yes, could be different quality rooms. The hotel website says...

I've used Travel Republic a few times for hotels and have never had a problem. I tend to use them or Alpharooms for bookings.

Yes the quotes are for exactly the same holiday including luggage, transfers and room types. I've actually found it cheaper still with Sunshine.co.uk and think we'll prob go ahead and book with them, it's around £165 cheaper for the same holiday. Barrhead even looked at it and couldn't match it and said it was a great price.

Never used Travel Republic but I went right-off Barrhead Travel a while back due to their relentless spamming/stooging on forums.

So if some random bod pops-up giving them glowing and uncritical reviews, be very suspicious.

Thanks for that site (sunshine) , currently looking for a holiday and through that, I'm actually getting prices I could live with.

If you search for reviews on Sunshine.co.uk most report that the prices shown are never available when you go to book and that they are experts on bait and switch, so be careful
