It's elderflower season. Pick some elderflowers and make elderflower cordial, wine or champagne.0

Relax and breathe... Then think about was has to be done and what you want to do. Lot's of great ideas there already.
I always find it difficult to motivate myself (I can take procrastination to a whole new level), so if I'm off work I try to do something I really don't want to do (but need to) early in the day, having promised myself a "reward" of something I choose to do afterwards. I find that being out in the fresh air always lifts my mood and makes me more likely to do something useful afterwards (otherwise I just get cross with myself later for feeling as if I've wasted the day), so some days I get two things that need to be done out of the way.
I work in a primary school and go on trips to museums etc but don't have the chance to enjoy them (constantly doing a head count to make sure I've not lost anyone ) so I like going back on my own when I have the opportunity to just mooch at my own pace.
I love to sit and read. There's never enough "me time" to do what I want to do, and there is something that seems quite naughty about lying on the sofa reading a book in the middle of the day (preferably with a cup of tea and custard creams).
Enjoy your time off. :j0 -
I retired 19 years ago and if I tried I don't think I could find enough time in the day to work now
:) I am busy all the time with family, various clubs, reading knitting swimming genealogy,I end up watching catch-up t.v. as I just don't have time to watch half the stuff If its a good drama series I tape on my Tivo box and watch it all in one go
:) I forage for stuff in the autumn with my DGC (they do take up a lot of my 'spare time ')in fact I don't think I have any spare time at all.I could do with a 36 hour day and still have a to-do list as long as your arm.maybe as you only have a week off why not just 'stand and stare' and take stock of your life.Life is so precious that we often miss the important bits. You only get one life enjoy it while you can.If you don't fancy being busy then don't have a completely 'me' week and do what you feel like doing If its sleeping in late or just doing what my old Mum called 'bottoming out' indoors (deep cleaning)But what ever you do enjoy doing it .Its your free time make the most of what floats your boat
:):)

There should be strawberries available in the PYO places when you're on leave; how about going and picking a few pounds, keep some back for immediate use,;) and make a few jars of jam with the rest.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
