posting parcels to australia

I currently am selling some decorative plates ..i have agreed to post internationally ..Though if i was honest seeing as these items would cost a lot to post in UK I wasnt counting on it,
Ive have received a question on asking how much to post to OZ for a set...now when doing research I noticed the hugggggggggggge long list of restrictions posting to OZ ....It says prohibits ceramics ?? and then ceramics for which to be used for food storage etc, ( for which these are not used for )
Im just wanting a little advise on how about posting these if the buyer wants them..I know in the US it takes ages and you have to mark what is on the box etc .. But to Australia seems so full of rules id like to understand the best way to post them and to cover all angles ..or could possibly explain it better as im trawling through lots of pages to rules at mo

I wouldn't bother either.
So many parcels get stopped going into Australia they're likely to never arrive or be delayed by months.
I once sent a parcel to my niece, it had a satchel and a plastic Disney beaker, it took 3 months to get there because it got detained by Customs. I now only send her clothing.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
Is it Ebay? If so and anything happens don't forget they will get a refund and this will include the cost of delivery, think twice about it.0

Other than the damage to the plates etc (I had an easter egg delivered out to me in lots of little bits :-)) Anything that is over 2kg is very, very expensive to send!! a couple of years ago I posted something out it was about 1.5kg and it cost me £20!!Thanks to money saving tips and debt repayments/becoming debt free I have been able to work and travel for the last 4 years visiting 12 countries and working within 3 of them. Currently living and working in Canada  :dance:0
