No, it is a revolving credit agreement. A credit card account where the limit randonly reduces on the whim of a Bank computer is about as useful as a chocolate teapot.

This is absolutly no bad thing and is often done by credit card companies. If you are wanting to buy a £1000 with the protection of a credit card you can still do this by preloading the card with £600 :)
not too sure about that. I had a positive balance on my Barclaycard a while ago and was told off by their customer service for doing so!

I have recently found out something about their internal scoring system, I want a breathe card (as I have an inital card with the high APR), I have only a very low score which is based on a feed from the Credit Reference Agencies. They advised me to get copies of my files that are all fine, then I realised that as I live in flats, Experian have my address in one format, Equifax a different one, and CallCredit different again. I know that Equifax's computer wont let them change it, but I am try to get the other two to match. it could have something to do with this, if you have more than a door number and a post code. I had to get Barlcaycard to take off my flat position so I could put through a Cardholder Not Present transaction that kept failing to match with the Address Verification System the merchant used. Turns out the merchant is Barclays. So now having a fight with them after 3 "computer says no" letters trying to get them to understand someone needs to manually look up my credit reports. James

Did I say behaviour? I thought I said circumstances.
As a matter of fact, you didn't:
Thay are obviously concerned about your ability to afford things, and/or other debts.
This could imply either the behaviour or circumstances. Either way, your inference is that it's the fault of the customer (that they can't afford the credit for whatever reason,) not of the company (trying to reduce liabilities for example, which is what BC appear to have been doing.)
    Big big diff,
Not really. I've edited my post to address your concerns however.

-o I am humble -o You are attention seeking -o She is Nadine Dorries
