N power - gas pre pay..
Can someone explain to me why on a pre pay meter I'm getting bills?.
I'm paying off a debt from before I had pre pay installed.
Obviously I'm paying standing charges on top of the agreed weekly debt BUT, I had got it down to £60.. Paid the £60 but next day it was back up to £220 and I saw they had sent me a bill for £160!!. rang to ask why but I was given the run around, put on hold to be spoken to by someone else who didn't explain it and was just saying stuff that was confusing.
I've got it back down to £80 now and have just been sent an email saying my next bill is due in August (The other one was in Febuary).
Whats going on?

It sounds like their system may not have updated your meter exchange and is still showing the credit meter. If this is the case see if the engineer left exchange info on a card and give it to them.Self Employed, Running my Dream Jobs0

if your making manual payments other than on the pre-pay, it wont be taken off the meters debt. However are you sure the bill does not say for information only?Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

The bill started at £500, I've been watching it slowly decrease and was slapped for a bill as if I was on a normal meter. Npower have been really unhelpful.0
