Boiler help

Just wondering if anyone can help me?
Basically i am having problems with my combi boiler, or so i think.
The problem is having the heating on, it heats the pipes up fine, but about an hour after it usually runs out of hot water meaning i have to top it up. I had this trouble all through winter, constantly topping the hot water up, lately i haven't needed to top it up because i haven't been putting the heating on obviously, just using it for hot water. It's a pain in the winter waking up to top it up again.
Also, when the heating is on the temperature gauge goes all the way to the top, obviously this can't be right?
So do i need a completely new boiler? Or just a new part that needs fitting? Or is it normal for my kind of boiler, which is a heat line vizo (apparently very rubbish).
Wish i knew myself but i have no idea about this sort of stuff.

I assume you mean the pressure is falling and you use the filling loop on a regular basis. You either have a leak in the system or a faulty pressure vessel. That gum you like is coming back in style.0

Need to get it checked out then i suppose.0 -
Yep, repressurize the expansion vessel with air. Usually a pretty simple job.0
