Cmc demanding more money from a successful ppi claim

Hi...
I need some advice. 2 years ago I used a c.m.c to reclaim ppi from Barclays. This was successful and we paid the fees requested from the c.m.c and the claim was concluded.
Last month I contacted barclays to say that I believed they miscalculated the original compensation. This was upheld and they paid an additional sum.
I have now heard from the Cmc to say they want an additional fee. They have not done any work on this case since 2012, so should I pay up? If so for how many years do they have a claim against me should barclays pay more compensation?

Strictly they do. However, if they failed to spot the error in the calculation, I think you have grounds for complaint against them.0

Thanks for your reply. Maybe I should threaten to raise a complaint against them then.0

Unlike financial firms, regulation of CMCs is light touch. Plus, this is a contract dispute. So, whilst you can complain, it doesn't have the same consequences to them.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
