So, I was wondering if you guys could help me.

At work, we have been assigned a country for the World Cup and we have to decorate our desks in items related to said country.

My team have been given Germany.

Do any of you have suggestions as to what we could do to decorate our desks? Relatively cheap suggestions would be ideal as it's coming out of my own pocket!

If I were given this task, I would decorate my Desk with a Fraulein of dubious Virtue and a Bottle of Schnapps..

France: Turn up for work at 10.00am, and go home at 4.00pm:cool:

USA: Wear NFL kit and say "We are wearing football jerseys":D

Germany: Beer, beer, beer, beer, need I say more???
Japan: Just keep asking "Are you sure we have enough ice to pack the whale we ordered?" Bring in loads of ice for extra effect:T or just display a dead goldfish as "English sushi"

Print out some German flags? String them up around your desk like bunting? What about black, gold and red tinsel (if you've got some old Xmas decorations)? Going to Lidl sounds like the best idea, they may even be selling German flags as it's the World Cup season :)
  • Have some paper chains in the colours of the national flags or teams so for Germany, Red, Black and Yellow and for Holland, Orange

Print off some pictures from the internet and pin / blu-tac them up so for Holland you could have some Van Gogh paintings, pictures of clogs and windmills, Map/Views from Amsterdam etc.

Print off a list off unusual facts about the country in question so people can learn something new.

You can buy from supermarkets beers from each country (well you could in the last tournament) so empty bottles/cans as someone else suggested.

Wear some clothing along the chosen colours / face painting (flag on the cheek for example)
