At work, we have been assigned a country for the World Cup and we have to decorate our desks in items related to said country.
My team have been given Germany.
Do any of you have suggestions as to what we could do to decorate our desks? Relatively cheap suggestions would be ideal as it's coming out of my own pocket!

At one workplace we did this for the 2006 WC. My team had Mexico. We found some red, green and white streamers and stapled them between the desks. We had 8 computer desks in an octagon. Then went to a few pound shops to pick up plastic cactus, sombrero etc. Had cut outs of Speedy Gonzales, both Mexico's strips and the flag. Crowning glory was the empty bottle of tequila on the platform where all 8 desks met. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. No reason to object.. I think the World Cup and Olympics are two events that go beyond sport. I don't understand why people feel they can't join in some of the fun just because they don't like the actual sport.0 -

That's why those who have no sense of humour have an enlarged sense of self-importance.0
