British gas homecare

My homecare finished yesterday after british gas put the price up, even though I was happy with their service, they actually put their price up by 30%.
I told them to cancel the contract.

Am I allowed to start a new contract with them as a new customer

I called these up yesterday for my mother & father in law swalec was cheaper for the exact same cover.

Not straight away I would have thought - another poster has given you another option but in 12 months time I do not see why you cannot start again with B Gas if you so wish.
Just check with any new company whether a free annual service of your boiler (and radiators?) is included or others may be cheaper for a reason.

When I called up to cancel they gave me a better price which I was happy with.
