Found another 5p plus 1p tonight. But I had to put the penny in a charity box as I found it under a bar stall and the barmaid and door security guy saw me pick it up.
Road kill that I couldn't get my hands on:
a penny under another table in the bar; a 5 p wedged in a crack near a bee pump and finally lots of coins in the river by a crossing point.

Well I had a rather fruitful day on the coin front, not in actual value just sheer number of coins. I found 11 in total, so by far and away my best count for one day. Unfortunately only 1&2p's and all but one in the same area.

The first I found getting out of my car, a 2p, then the next site I was at was an area of shingle so quite hard to see any coins but I saw one and it was so old you couldn't make out what it was, I kept looking around as I saw another and just kept finding them!

So my finds for the day are 4x2p 6x1p and 10 cent coin. Like I said not of great value but I am happy with my haul!

Just a short one to say hello and to report that DD2 12 yrs has recently started coming home with her purse brimming with 1p's and 2p's and a glimmer in her eye.... aparently the kids in the lunch hall don't want their coppers after getting their lunch and dahhhhling DD2 is only too happy to relieve them of it!!! Had to chuckle... a real chip off the old block.... Where as DD1 16 wouldn't lower herself to pick up 50p in front of a total stranger hahahaha!!! I remember on a recent shopping trip we came out of the mall to find a £5 note blowing in front of us.... excited she shouted ooh look mum get that fiver for me:rotfl:

Yesterday hubby and I had a lots of fun hunting for Roadkill across London and then in Birmingham. We walked around Euston and I kept finding coin after coin after coin. End of day I had found 18p and hubby found 8p so 26p in total for the day. So far we have found 2x 1p today.
